We are excited to breathe new life into the children’s choir program here at St. John the Divine. This undertaking, under the direction of our composer in residence, Ryan Marttala, could involve new sheet music, music folders, children’s gowns, Christmas pageants, and other performances to mark special occasions.
All we need now is regular attendance at our weekly one-hour rehearsals. Moving the current rehearsal time is under consideration, so those who have already signed up will be contacted to see if this would be helpful. Anyone else interested is welcome to contact Ryan via music@stjohnsarva.ca.
We encourage everyone from ages 5 to 15 to sign up for what should prove to be a rewarding experience–one which hopes to encourage a lifetime of music appreciation. No previous experience is required.
