Happy 2017!

Best wishes to everyone for a blessed new year! Did you make a new years resolution? I rarely do because I never keep them. I know I am not going to give up red wine, lose 50  pounds, or learn a new sport. But I do take time to reflect on my life and review my blessings. This year although I had two surgeries, I am thankful for our healthcare system and the doctors and nurses that helped me regain my breathing. “In all things give thanks” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Sometimes it is hard to give thanks under duress, when life isn’t going the way we planned. But I always remind myself that the alternative is to sink into despair, to lose joy in life, to let anger and frustration dominate my life. And no one wins when that becomes the road travelled.

This year I promise to pause, reflect and give thanks. To look for the best in a situation, a silver lining. My prayers and best wishes for you this year! Please join us at St. Johns Anglican Sundays at 10:30am. If you are looking for meaning in life, we are here to help.
